How does coaching work?

  • Coaching is an interactive experience where we discover your goals and your passions and use them to help you travel down a path to the life you want. My role is to empower YOU as the client and ultimate authority on your life. I use techniques supported by evidence on what works to achieve change.

    How is coaching different from therapy?

  • Therapy is designed to address mental and behavioral disorders. While I have training as a therapist which informs my work as a coach, coaching starts from the premise that there’s nothing wrong with you. Coaching is more geared toward designing a life plan and goals with the support of a coach who trusts you to succeed.

    Is it confidential?

  • 100%! What happens in our sessions stays in our sessions, with few exceptions for safety, just like seeing a therapist. I follow the ethical guidelines set by the International Coaching Federation.

    How long does it typically take to see results?

  • The time that your coaching process will take depends on the complexity of your goals and your commitment and openness to your process. I typically work with people for 3 months; Many people find benefit from just one session, however. In most cases, coaching is a faster process than most therapies.
